Eastern was established in 1957 by Frank G. Lasecke, Sr. and his wife Sandie. Frank was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He served as Mayor of Stevens Point from 1941 to 1943. During World War II, he enlisted in the Navy. In 1947, he was honorably discharged with the rank of a Commander. He then moved to California and worked as a furniture manufacturer’s representative for 10 years.

In 1957, he opened Eastern Wholesale Furniture Company. It was the only wholesale furniture showroom in the Santa Clara Valley at that time. The name “Eastern” was derived to reflect furniture from the eastern United States, which was displayed in the showroom.

That same year, Frank G. Lasecke, Jr., known as “Tucker," and his wife, Ann, joined the team. With a background in business and design, they built the company into what it is today. Their great foresight in purchasing the current building has kept us entirely debt free, which in turn enables us to offer the best values available to our clients.

After 50 years, Tucker and Ann have turned over the daily operation of the business to the third generation. Their sons, Mark and Bryan, have worked at the store since their days in grade school and college. They both have backgrounds in marketing, accounting and design. They continue to expand on the “Eastern Way,” which is to create beautiful homes. Eastern offers hundreds of quality furniture makers from all over the world, and showcases them in our beautiful 50,000 square foot showroom.
